Since my childhood, I’ve been captivated by the magic of the natural world and find peace being outside exploring and observing the world around me. I lost that connection during my postgraduate years of working and living in New York City. After having kids and moving to Connecticut, we bought a house from a couple who loved to garden. There was a huge learning curve when we took over the property and my gardening journey began with this home. We have slowly transformed what was once a structured and traditional landscape with boxwoods and garden roses into a more wild, native, and pollinator-friendly environment.

At our new home, I would start and end most of my days in our garden, enjoying a moment of beauty and escape from a busy life with two young children. Having my hands in the dirt became a type of therapy and I quickly fell in love with growing flowers for cutting. In 2022, I completed the Floret Online Workshop to further my education in growing flowers on a small-scale and to support my floral design work.

Over the years, gardening has taught me patience, resilience, and to look for the beauty in the imperfect, hectic parts of our lives. It is a privilege to spend my days surrounded by the magic and beauty of nature and to create something beautiful that brings joy to others.
